I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
